Affiliate Marketing Training for Newbie Affiliates

The internet is full of affiliate marketing training that promises overnight success. Many people claim that they have one secret way to make money online. New article marketing methods and techniques abound throughout the Internet that promise financial freedom.

Looking for affiliate marketing training

Before I decided to jump into Affiliate Marketing, I was looking for and participating in different ways to make money and spend my time. I tried direct sales, multi-level marketing, retail, owned a retail store. They all require some knowledge. Information I didn’t have.

The same goes for affiliate marketing. There are many training courses that claim to offer unique material; but they all teach the same things. There are affiliate marketing training courses on niche identification, search engine optimization, article writing, and list building.

It’s like being in the middle of the ocean without a compass or sextant. You have too many routes to choose from. You know there is land somewhere, but you don’t know which way to steer.

There are so many training courses out there that claim they can teach you how to make money online using their approach. It frustrates and confuses you to the point of indecision.

Affiliate marketing training options

Of course, there are many options available to the internet marketer. There are many reputable experts and some not so reputable.

Just like there is no one magic to making money online, there is no one way to learn affiliate marketing. The following options may seem obvious to an experienced affiliate marketer. Nevertheless, new marketers are often surprised by the many marketing training options available.

  1. Free Training – Article directories often offer free training videos and courses. Some professional training websites also offer free training. The Internet is another source. It is full of free content. Forums are an excellent source of free education. Ask a question in the forum and you will get countless answers.
  2. Professional Training – If your budget allows, browse the Internet and find numerous training programs and courses, from one-time courses to monthly subscriptions.
  3. Experience – Nothing, I repeat nothing, replaces experience as a learning tool. Don’t be afraid to try something, even if it might not work. You learn what not to do. Too often beginners freeze in inaction because they don’t want to make a mistake. Mistakes are the best teachers. As is often said, “just do it”.

Due diligence

Whichever option or options you choose, do your due diligence. As I said earlier, many experts claim that they have the answer to making money online. However, keep in mind that they too were once beginners and likely have the same basic knowledge of list building, article writing, SEO, etc.

I do and I did all three options. In the beginning, I started on a limited budget with free training and was quickly surprised by the variety of topics to choose from: how to choose a niche, how to make a list, how to attract clients, on and on. I focused on one topic, article writing, and learned enough to start doing it. Then I plunged into it and started making mistakes, which were my biggest teachers – experience.

Don’t get confused by the selection of affiliate market training courses. Pick one topic and go for it.
