How To Create An Effective Content Marketing Strategy Today

Do you know how to create a content marketing strategy? It’s actually very simple. Content creation itself does not require much skill or writing skills. If you have a few hours to sit in front of your computer and write a few simple words related to your website or blog, you have the first step in creating an effective content marketing strategy. Now the first thing you need to know about content creation is that it is very easy. There are a few routes you can take to complete this process. And once the content is ready, all you have to do is market it. And I assure you, the process is very easy. It is natural in writing that creating content is not difficult for me. But if you struggle with it, fear not!

I want to give you a few ways you can get original content and then create a marketing strategy around them to get lots of fresh new traffic to your website or blog (or both). These methods are very simple and even a high school student can do them (if they are not lazy. And I hope you are not lazy). After that, let’s move on to the first way you can develop content for your site:

1) Create it yourself

This is by far my favorite method. I love this method because it’s 100% free! When you write content yourself, you save money on hiring a freelance writer and you save time because you don’t have to wait days for content to be completed as a freelancer. And when you have a content marketing strategy that you’re ready to execute, time is of the essence.

Now, I always recommend that when you create content for your website, you always aim to write at least 1000 words worth of material. This ensures that you thoroughly explain deep ideas – without the reader having to figure out how to do something you’re telling them to do. I would know because I keep seeing 400-500 word articles that tell me what to do but not HOW to do something.

The more expertise you can demonstrate in your content, the better. This is a way to prove yourself through your content, and it’s much easier for people to market your content for you – through content distribution. So if you are the original author of the article or content you produce, that is the best way to go. However, it is not the only way to create a good content marketing strategy. Here is the next option:

2) Buy article templates

Buying article templates is a GREAT idea if you have no writing experience or if you’re used to posting resumes just for the next $10 an hour job in your area. You need to know that great content marketing strategies are born from article templates. And you will find that they are easy to adapt and use to suit your needs. Some of the best content templates you can find are on a website called “EzineArticles”.

When you get an article template, you give yourself an immediate advantage over competitors who can’t write. Many templates are strategically designed for search engines, giving hints and great ideas on what to write, where to put images and videos, and how to close them with a powerful author resource box.

Article templates can save your business, and it’s also a great way to implement your content marketing strategy. Plus, you’ll gain basic writing skills every time you use them. It’s like practicing to become a world-class copywriter without having to hire one. Which leads me to the next method of implementing an effective content marketing strategy. Check this out:

3) Outsource the writing

This is a favorite of successful entrepreneurs online. Some people get outsourcers from different sources. Some people find them on freelance sites, others offer others the opportunity to be a “guest poster” on their blog or website – in exchange for the writer getting to take advantage of the website owner’s traffic – and some outsource their writing to a professional advertising agency or SEO firm.

This can get extremely expensive, but some people don’t have time to write content (as incredible as it sounds). And you also need to understand that you get what you pay for. For example, if you own a portfolio and trust account management website, you don’t want to hire a $5 per 500 word freelance writer to convey the sincere feeling you’re trying to convey on your professional website.

I’ve noticed that amateur (and cheap) writers like this tend to use a “hype” tone when they write. In other words, don’t hire a writer who uses a lot of exclamation marks and words in ALL caps if you sell funeral services. Can you imagine the disgust someone would feel for your website if their loved one died and you only seem to care about money?

I would know about the outsourcing writing game because I used to provide freelance writing services to others around the world. I get paid at a certain rate, I have to write a certain number of words around a certain topic and keyword and deliver it to the client in a certain time.

Sometimes I was tasked with writing 500+ word articles for 20 different industries – all due within 24 hours.

Can you imagine that?

Today, I write for myself and write quality content that I use for my own content marketing strategy. I vowed never again to sacrifice my intelligence for low wages just to “get by” with my internet business. And I don’t recommend you do the same either.

These are just a few ways you can start creating a great content marketing strategy. Now it’s up to you to put them into practice. Congratulations!
